Tie-Down Violation – Neon

Tie-Down Violation – Neon

Oct 14, '19

Even though this looks like a junkyard find, it’s still dangerous to other drivers when not properly secured to the trailer.

  1. The front tie-down straps seem to be the only thing keeping the vehicle in place. Although, those non-safety-style hooks won’t do much good when they come detached with lack in tension.
  2. The single rear tie-down strap doesn’t seem to be anchored to the trailer.
  3. Even if it was, routing around the bumper brace isn’t a sufficient vehicle anchor point.
  4. The tie-down strap across the rear window? We’re as baffled as you are.

Since it’s a decent trailer, a Mac’s Ultra Pack with Chain Extensions is a much safer solution. The available Axle Straps car route around the rear end housing and the Chain Extensions can route through the stake pockets. Plus, four straps are better than two.

Add Chain Extensions to your Ultra Pack order and save $30 versus buying them individually. Simply choose “Direct Hook with Chain Extension” before adding to your cart.
