Shawn Ellington aka Murder Nova
Shawn Ellington, also known as Murder Nova, was born in 1977 in Merced, California. In 1982, he relocated to Sayre, Oklahoma, where he spent his formative years helping out in his father Richard’s auto body shop. Shawn moved to Oklahoma City in 2005. Shortly after that, he acquired a vehicle that would later be dubbed the Murder Nova. This car, a 1969 Nova painted in flat black, has undergone various modifications over the years. The OG Nova is still one of the fastest street-raced cars in the country and spends most of its time now on small tires.

Vanessa Tortolero
My name is Vanessa Tortolero and I am an off-road UTV desert racer. I began my racing career in 2020 after graduating from Oregon State University. I have always been involved in the off-road racing community watching my dad race Class 7 trucks in Baja. My love for the sport began at a very young age but it wasn't until I was 23 that I decided I wanted to compete myself. I started off in a Polaris RZR 900 at the local series where I won my first race in the sportsman class. Since then, I have raced in Baja competing in the Record series and the NORRA 1000 and most recently took 2nd place overall Pro Turbo UTV in the 2022 SNORE series in my 2017 Polaris RZR Turbo. For the 2024 season, I have transitioned to a 2021 Polaris RZR Pro XP and I can't wait to see what I can accomplish in this new vehicle!
