Our Y-Strap is built to the same high standards we use for our automotive tie downs, so you'll never have to worry about your spare disembarking prematurely. The quality of a Mac's Y-Strap is good insurance against a blown tire in the middle of nowhere.
Our 1" wide Y-Strap is a lightweight version of our 2" wide Y-Strap, and is ideal for vehicles with tires ranging 26" to 32" in diameter. We start with our premium 1" strapping. Rated to 4,000 lbs., the select nylon webbing material we use offers superior chafing and UV resistance. During construction of the Y-Strap, we sew all ends using the highest stitch count in the industry. You can see this in our characteristic "double box" stitch pattern that ensures maximum tear resistance. The result is a strap with an incredible 2,800 lb. Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS), more than enough to handle any dynamic loading.
Our 1" Y-Strap is designed to enhance the look of your vehicle, as well. We've made all three legs adjustable. With a one-time adjustment of the two "fixed" legs of your y-strap, your ratchet will automatically position itself on the center of your spare each time you tighten it.
